“Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again.”

― Henri Cartier-Bresson

This is my "quote of the week".  It's so very true.  Those smiles?  They vanish.  That twinkle in the eye? Gone.  The transparency of newborn ears? Never again. We photographers, we try, strive, work hard to capture it.  There is a magic that happens in the right light, time and space, where that fleeting moment of life is captured, the essence of time frozen.  Without true dimension, but with a dimension all it's own; a photograph.  Our art is the gift we give another of a moment in time.  This is what we love, what we live to do.  Enjoy.
